- Growth Plays is hiring an SEO Content Editor for B2B Tech & Developer Tools based in North America to support and project manage ongoing editorial workflows and content quality.
- This role is ideal for an experienced writer or editor with a B2B tech background who possesses strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
- You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure that all content briefs, content drafts, and final deliverables meet expectations.
- Salary range: $75k-$85k base salary DOE, plus home internet, coworking space, and necessary office equipment.
- End of Year Bonus: $6k-$8k DOE and achieving goals.
- $40/month stipend for coffee and snacks.

Your Background & Skill Set:
- You are an experienced B2B writer and editor with a strong background in content editing, content strategy, and product positioning for B2B SaaS and developer tooling. You can break down technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging while maintaining precision and depth.
- You know how to read content through the lens of B2B SaaS product marketing, evaluating how accurately and persuasively the product is represented based on positioning, differentiators, and messaging.
- You understand the nuances of CTA placement, content tone, and audience knowledge level, and can confidently edit for conversion without sounding pushy or robotic.
- You can look at a content brief and a final draft and quickly assess alignment with product strategy, brand voice, and search intent, and you know how to fix what’s off.
- You have the technical acumen to understand complex B2B SaaS products, ensuring content accurately reflects their functionality, value propositions, and competitive differentiation.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, APIs, AI/ML technologies, and data infrastructure is essential. You can interpret technical documentation, understand integration workflows, and ensure content speaks to technical buyers, including engineers, product managers, and data teams.
- You have a strong foundational understanding of SEO beyond just keyword research. You’re comfortable working within search frameworks and know how to edit for intent, internal linking strategy, on-page SEO, and CTA optimization.
- You’re fluent in tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or Google Search Console, and can QA work against them to validate impact.
- Agency experience is a plus, but in-house experience with a content-heavy SaaS company is also valuable.
- You are deadline-conscious, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with freelancers, customers, and internal teams on content quality and strategy.
- You have strong project and time management skills, are highly organized, and are able to maintain editorial workflows efficiently.
- You do not take on an "it depends" mentality—you're able to assess content quality quickly and objectively while giving actionable feedback.
- You have worked with AI-generated content and have refined workflows to improve editorial efficiency and quality when using AI.
